Floor Jansen has released her new single, ‘Everything Is Moving On’ on October 23rd, accompanied by a music video that looks back on her time with Nightwish. The release arrives shortly after the vocalist announced her departure from the Finnish symphonic metal band, bringing a new focus to a song about change, moving forward and making choices for yourself.
Although the track was written before the decision to part ways with Nightwish, Floor has confirmed that connecting the video to the announcement was deliberate. Featuring memories from her time with the band, the video reflects on a significant chapter in her life while looking towards what comes next.
‘Everything Is Moving On’ is the third single from Floor’s upcoming solo album, Hytress, which is due for release on 15 January 2027 via REVAMP Music/Warner Music. The album follows her 2023 debut solo album, Paragon, and promises to bring her heavier metal influences together with the more personal and vulnerable elements of her solo work.
Floor has also announced the HYTRESS Tour 2027, with dates across Europe and South America. UK fans can catch her at Electric Brixton in London on 16 January 2027.
With Nightwish now behind her, Hytress marks the beginning of a new chapter for Floor Jansen, and ‘Everything Is Moving On’ feels like a fitting soundtrack to that transition.
