Tristyn Release New Single “Stone on Stone”
London-based symphonic metal band Tristyn released their new single “Stone on Stone,” earlier this month and we are loving it.
Released on September 18, 2026, the track explores the struggles of moving to a major metropolis, adapting to a new culture, overcoming challenges, and starting over in pursuit of a dream.
Musically, “Stone on Stone” stays true to Tristyn’s symphonic metal roots, bringing together heavy guitar riffs and a piano solo performed by the band’s guitarist. The song builds towards a powerful final section - one that is definitely worth waiting for.
Isabella Messina provides the soaring vocals, with lyrics co-written by Messina and Jamie/JD Smith. The music comes from Doug Rimington and Arnoldas Masevicius (Arnoldas Arnold), while JD Smith handles drums. The single was produced, mixed and mastered by Oz Craggs at Hidden Track Studios.
The official music video for the single was filmed at an abandoned castle in Lithuania (Raguvėlė Manor) and directed by Doug Rimington.
Responses to the track have highlighted its cinematic progression and especially its unexpected final section, while Tristyn themselves have encouraged listeners to turn it up and wait for the ending.
For us, “Stone on Stone” is a track that rewards the full listen. The arrangement keeps building and the symphonic elements add plenty of atmosphere.
