Breakfest: Forged in Fire 2026
On Sunday, Corporation played host to Breakdowns'n'Boas' very first Breakfest, Forged in Fire, and what a way to launch it! A day built around the brilliant pairing of heavy music and burlesque, four bands and a whole cast of burlesque, drag and fire performers, all in the blaze together. Genuinely, there was not a single dull moment from start to finish.
The bands:
Fakeout opened the night describing themselves as "dumb and heavy". Heavy they certainly are, but they won the crowd over properly by introducing everyone to the vocalist's nephew, a stuffed monkey called Gunderson. Chants ensued! Genuinely brilliant way to kick things off.

Lo Rays brought their post-apocalyptic pop metal and absolutely delivered. A slick, energy-packed set that had people buzzing beforehand, and by the end they'd convinced the whole room they're a band to watch. Joined on stage by the incredible Thorn Faustus for a flaming preview of what was to come in her headline performance.
Luna performed twice - first a sultry burlesque routine, then later returning with a bold, mesmerising fire performance, her first ever in front of an audience. A dazzling, fearless debut and a huge moment!

Massive credit to host Elle Be Damned, who kept everyone in the room and on time after every break (snacks included!), with her trusty maid Socratease clearing the stage of stray garments between acts.
