Tales of Perdition Release New Single The Outer Pale

UK symphonic metal band Tales of Perdition continue the journey towards their debut album with the release of their latest single, "The Outer Pale," on 23rd July. The track is the fourth single taken from the band's forthcoming debut album, The Theatre of Existence, which is scheduled for release on 3rd September 2026.

Guitarist and songwriter Matt Simpson describes The Outer Pale as an exploration of faith, forgotten history, ideology and perception, inviting listeners into a conceptual world where certainty gives way to interpretation. The song continues the band's ambitious storytelling while expanding on the themes that will shape The Theatre of Existence.

We've had the single on repeat since it dropped, and it’s a genuinely brilliant listen that makes us excited for the full album. If this is a taste of what's coming, The Theatre of Existence is shaping up to be something really special.

Drawing inspiration from legendary acts including Iron Maiden, Trivium, and Nightwish, Tales of Perdition blend Symphonic Metal, NWOBHM, and Thrash Metal into a powerful and theatrical sound. Matt Simpson describes the band's style as "like heavier Nightwish or poppier Epica," combining soaring melodies with driving riffs and dynamic arrangements.

Known for their energetic live performances, Tales of Perdition have become familiar faces across the London metal scene, sharing stages with Tempest Saint, Stranger Vision, and LN, while also appearing at last year's Coalition Festival alongside The Hell and Red Method.

Following the release of The Theatre of Existence on 3rd September, the band will celebrate with an album release show at The Cart & Horses on Sunday 6th September.
