Hemloch Unleashes Symphonic Power with Debut EP 'Finality'!
Hemloch are set to make their mark on the UK symphonic metal scene with their debut EP, Finality, arriving on March 27, 2026, and it’s a release that feels confident, fully realised, and ready to be heard.
Drawing from the sweeping, cinematic foundations laid by bands such as Nightwish, Within Temptation, Delain and Beyond The Black, Hemloch bring that unmistakable grandeur while carving out their own identity. There’s also a contemporary drive running through Finality, with flashes of the punch and urgency you might associate with Spiritbox, Architects and Amaranthe.
Our initial reaction on first listen was that it carried echoes of early Sirenia that rich, gothic-tinged atmosphere wrapped around driving riffs and emotive vocals. But the more time we’ve spent with it, the clearer it becomes that Hemloch are shaping something that stands firmly on its own.
The EP has been on constant rotation here at Femetalism since receiving a promo copy. From the hard-hitting opener “Decay”, the melodic pull of “The Vixen”, the contemplative mood of “In the Mirror”, and the orchestral strains of “Zero (Minutes to Midnight)”, through to the bombastic finale “My Ethereal One,” it’s an epic musical journey from start to finish. Each track brings its own character, yet the EP flows naturally, building atmosphere and intensity without losing cohesion.
Before the EP’s full release, the band unveiled a demo version of their forthcoming debut single on Bandcamp, offering an early glimpse into the world of Finality. Even in demo form, the foundations are clear - strong melodies, dramatic dynamics, and that balance between symphonic scale and modern weight. It’s an exciting preview of what’s to come and shows just how much promise Hemloch are bringing into their official debut.
Hailing from Yorkshire and Hertfordshire, Hemloch channel raw emotion into songs shaped by myth, darkness and the chaos of modern life. There’s an apocalyptic thread running through their sound, but also the vulnerability beneath the grand arrangements are very human stories.
With music videos currently in the works and momentum building, Finality feels like the beginning of something significant.
